Undergraduate:
The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic / Information Design provides professional instruction in the areas of Graphic Design, Website Design, Interactive Multimedia Design, History of Design and 3-D Animation and Design.
Program Admission:
Freshmen and all incoming students will be advised as PRE Graphic / Information Degree Majors prior to full program admission.
Acceptance into the University and participation in the Per Graphic / information Design program does not guarantee acceptance into the Graphic / Information Design Major. Acceptance into the GID major is competitive and is limited by the number of students who can be accommodated.
Students seeking full admission to the BA Graphic Information Design Degree Program must meet the following qualifications:
- A student must receive a score of 85 or better on the comprehensive assessment administered in DES 122 Fundamentals of Graphic / Information Design to be considered for admission.
- DES 122 may be repeated only with the permission of the Department Chair.
- Overall GPA of 2.5 strongly recommended. Student must be in good academic standing.

Central Design Studio:
Upper level students may make application to participate in our, award winning, for-credit, and student-operated full-service design studio. The Central Design Studio, under faculty supervision provides design service to selected real world clients.

Design Internship:
DES 437-Design placements are available with professional Graphic Design Studios, Advertising Agencies, Publishers (print or web), Corporate Design Departments and Multimedia Design Companies. Upper level students are selected for participation by portfolio.
